This is a service area for models. When models are beginning their career, they don’t have a lot of things set up yet. One of the basic things a model needs is a portfolio. In the past, a model would carry a large loose leaf type leather case. Inside would be a collection of varied photos to show off the model and how she photographs under different conditions. There would be variations in hair style and color, a range of clothing from bathing suits or less to formal wear, and from none to full makeup.
This full display of different looks is very important to a model. A photographer or creative director usually has already taken the picture they want in their mind. They then go searching for the model to fit this image in their minds. Sometimes they set up a “cattle call” which is an open interview for models to come in with their portfolios. Models or their agents may set up a “go see” which is an appointment to see a photographer or designer or creative director, who will set aside 5 to 15 minutes to “see” models and their portfolios.
For the model, going on a “cattle call” could take the better part of a day, since they have to wait their turn to go in to see the interviewer. Going to more than one “go see” in a day includes a lot of travel time from one to the other, resulting in going on a maximum limit of 4 or 5 a day, tops. In the real world outside of major markets (NY, LA, Miami, Paris, Rome), there are very few modelling jobs coming up in a week. Sometimes jobs come up suddenly and the model may not have her portfolio with her.
Today, things are little different. Sure there are still “go sees” and “cattle calls”, but a good portion of searching for models, jobs and photographers is done on the Internet. There are a whole bunch of sites for models, and this is just another one. The advantage is that this is a small site and its free. You can have as many pictures as you want. (I just thought that over and we’ll say around a hundred is a limit). So you can have a presence on sites like One Model Place and Model Mayhem and can refer them to your pages here. You can treat your pages as if they were your private website, with a profile and pictures in your portfolio. You will have access to screened email, where photographers can get in touch with you. We’ll have a page of guidelines for you to follow when going on a job or interview.
Once you have a page, you can provide a photographer or anyone else with a direct link to your pages, without going through the rest of the this website. Another rather minor advantage is that you can always email me with questions about modelling and help with selecting pictures for your portfolio.

I can also host your domain name free, but that is limited.
